Apparently another comic book movie. This one looks pretty cool

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

I hope it turns out to be a great movie, as the book is superb, a classic.

Keep in mind, however, that Alan Moore, the creator of the graphic novel, has compeletely disassociated himself from the movie version. Early script reviews have been quite critical, and the ending appears to have been altered.

If Alan Moore has problems with it, then I'm afraid this one will suck.

edit:

I just watched the trailer with the "disassociation" in mind. If you check the title information, you will note that it is based on something published by DC instead of giving credit to Moore.
