According to IMDb (I think this is what Sam was hinting at):

"OTIS", the name on the ax, is an abbreviation for "Only The Innocent Survive."

That's the one! I looked in to this mystery and on the DVD commentary it's mentions that "Otis" was used to identify it so that the viewer would know that it was the same one used by Paxton. Why would anyone think otherwise??

....oh, and I didn't care much for Twister.

He was in Terminator, but you wouldn't recognize him. He was one of the three punks in the beggining where Arnie gets his clothes from. He has a blue(?) mohawk and he appeared to be the leader of the three.
Your probably right about it being Aliens, it's been awhile since I've seen them! It was a tiny part he had! I'll rewatch Weird Science again just for Kelly Labrock, but I'll try and look for Bill. Big Grin

As far as Twister goes, I was sorely dissapointed with it the first time I watched it.(Don't get me started about all the near misses they survived) Born and raised in western Oklahoma, all my friends thought I would love this movie. But I have watched it several times since and have come to like it. Mostly the scenery makes me nostalgic, but I do like tornandos and I do like Bill. It's a two for one!

"Nice night for a walk, eh?" Think he also had a tire track tatoo on his face, or was that one of the other punks? Those gut punches are the worst!

In Weird Science he was Chet, the older brother of Michael Hall's friend. LeBrock turned him into a big pile of butt mud near the end. Another of his comic relief/weasel roles.

I wasn't really impressed with this one. I haven't watched it again so maybe I'll give it another go. Might have been in the wrong mood that day.

So lng since I've seen this, that doesn't even strike a bell. I'm gonna have to watch this again! (I hope it's as entertaining as the first time I watched it!)

Oh, you dislike "True Lies"?
No, Bill Paxton says that in True Lies. If you haven't seen it, rent it and you'll see why!

another classic Bill Paxton movie is 'the dark backwords'

he's a stand up comedian with a third arm groing out of his back. LOL I'm not making this up. It's funny and wierd.
