Frailty - Medusa - 07-11-2005

We had rented this a long time ago and bought it a couple of weeks ago in the "Walmart $5.50 DVD junk bin". We watched it yesterday again. I'd forgotten what a good movie it was. Horror, scary with a TWIST at the end. And I do mean twist. It leaves you with this "WOW"! Anyone else seen this? I don't want to put any spoilers and give it away.

This is a excellent movie. Bill Paxton is a favorite of mine and this is a great directorial debut. I hope he continues to make movies this good.

I echo Jim's comments. Great little movie.

I really enjoyed this movie as well. Saw it in the theater, went in with no expectations but left feeling very satisfied that I had saw a very good horror movie.

DITTO!! Great film! I think Paxton is really underrated as an actor and always gets stuck with the part of the comic-relief/weasel in films - even if he is DAMN good at it. Thought he done well with this for his first time in the director's chair, too. I've always wondered about "Otis". Is there a meaning behind that name?? There's a tagline to the movie that fits but I don't know if that's the answer.

I saw this film in theater, and I bought DVD. This is one of my favorite movies. Bill Paxton's acting was excellent. That twisted ending was shocking.

I still remember the first time I saw this. The final twist literally had me talking to the screen (fortunately I was at home and not in a theater). I couldn't believe they went there.

I spent the whole movie wondering about OTIS myself. Hey, someone find out about that!

**SPOILER ALERT**

According to IMDb (I think this is what Sam was hinting at):

"OTIS", the name on the ax, is an abbreviation for "Only The Innocent Survive."

Bill Paxton has been around forever. He was in "Alien" and "Terminator"! Watch close! What did ya think about "Twister"?
