I think 28 Days later was pretty good for recent horror.

I haven't seen Cronos yet, but will take the good review as reason the give it a try.

Really trying to come up with something else good that hasn't been mentioned but can't seem to dredge anything up...

Oh yeah, Solaris is really that bad, I had the unfortunate opprotunity to watch this movie (was stuck in a hotel in Greasque, France and it was the only thing on in english)

It is about the dryest, worst paced movie I have ever seen...but George Clooney is soooo dreamy.....Just kidding. But not about the movie sucking.

Well I dont get to the movies much (twice in 15 years), and I dont belong to a video club so please take that into consideration. But I really enjoyed Final Destination I & II. And add a nod to Thirteen Ghosts

I have to give FD II credit for the best kill scenes I have ever seen, but it was not frightening in the least.

Hmm. The remake of Dawn of the Dead was pretty well done. Running zombies = scary. But...it was a zombie movie. :p

As far as movies that I truly found scary...The Ring, and most recently, Gothika.

And yeah, Solaris was simply terrible.

I saw "28 Days later...",too. I saw in theater in Tokyo(only one place! So there was very crowded). The running dead people was chills ran up my spine. But last scene was very good!!! I like the words, "HELLO" Big Grin

Solaris is "3z" movie. Do you know what I mean? It's a "zzz..." :p hehehe...

Only twice in 15 years??? Really?

By the way, I saw FD 1&2. But Japanese title of FD2 was Dead Coaster. What do you think about this title? In Japan, Final Destination was unpopular,so that changed the title.Anyway,Dead Coaster was unpopular too. Rolleyes

The Ring...is it Japanese version ? I like Naomi Watts, but Hollywood version was not scary for me. Sad

I still haven't seen Ringu, but I want to. I found The Ring incredibly scary, and I've heard that Ringu is even more so.
