It's Dirty Harry's 75th B-day. Have a good one, Clint!

Happy Birthday, William Munny.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

75 and still quite the man. Woo hoo, go Clint!

Reading is freedom.
The mind soars, no earthly cares,
no limitations.
A Maggers Haiku, 2005

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

Not to mention, Mayor of Carmel, Califnordia.

Except for "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly," I always liked his movies.

When I read the following quote by him, (In part ... from memory) "I'm more Libertarian than anything else. The liberals want to spend other peoples money, and conservatives don't want to spend their own ... " I began to like the MAN as well.

Happy Birthday Clint!

Out of curiosity, why don't you like G, B, & U ? It's always been one of my favorites of his. Now, Unforgiven tops my list.

Happy Birthday Clint!

BTW, an anagram for Clint Eastwood is "old west action". I wonder if he knows this?

It's been so long since I've seen it, I can't put my finger on anything specific. But in general, it struck me as just a lot of gratuitious violence. No plot, just violence. Thanks for reminding me -- I didn't like The Unforgiven either. My impression from that one was, "everybody's a dirt-bag."
