I'm like that with cars for sure, but TVs never used to be so expensive. The last time I had one die on me I purposely got an inexpensive 27" CRT TV to replace it because I wasn't about to spend a lot on obsolete technology, yet I was not about to buy a big screen before prices came down. I think I struck the right balance.
