I saw "Madagascar" last night with a group of adults and children. Everybody loved it. It is adorable and laugh out loud funny. The animation is terrific. Every hair on Alex The Lion's head moves independently; would that my hair moved that way. The animal crowd scenes in the jungle are visually hysterical. There are several well done, unexpected homages to other films, and NYC is so accurately depicted, it's quite amazing.
The best kick of all is Sacher Baron Cohen, aka Ali G, as the voice of Julien, the king lemur. He's a riot.
Check it out. Your kids and grandkids will love it, and you'll enjoy it, too.

You know 14 months later, I remembered your Madagascar review. I watched it on HBO and loved it!
You were so right about it being such a fun movie. Ali G as the king lemur is hilarious!
I think my favorite line is from the chimpanzee, "If you have any poo, fling it now!" ROTFL

Glad you enjoyed it, Susanita. I've seen again and it's still as enjoyable as the first time.
I think Noelie said somewhere that "if you have any poo, fling it now" is one of her favorite movie lines and she uses it in real life. It is a fabulous quote.

Yes, I do. It's simply awesome. I'm afraid that the "Move it, move it" thing shows up all the time in my real life too. I sing to my dogs a lot, and they are regularly treated to, "I'm gonna feed you, feed you," and "Time to go outside, outside." I'm such a dork... :p
