At last, this weekend, "Million Dollar Baby" is released in Japan! I've been waiting for this day.
I'm Clint Eastwood fan. I saw all of his movies, except "Bridge of Madison County".

Last month, Clint Eastwood visited to Japan for publicity. This is his interview in Japan.

And, this week, Hilary Swank and Morgan Freeman visited to Japan for publicity. I can't beliebe it....Morgan Freeman visited to Japan! Whoa!

H.Swank & M.Freeman

Well, anyway, after I saw this movie, I intend to talk about my thoughts...three days later!

I can't wait to read your review. I am interested in how the Japanese culture views the topic in the movie.

I can tell by your new signature file that you are a big Clint fan. Wink

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Well...yeah, I am Clint fan. But my signature quoted from Jack's favorite phrase. He always say "Swell".
I got it in English edition. Big Grin

Today I saw Million Dollar baby.

I can say positively....I saw all of his movies. From "A Fistful of Dollars" to "Million Dollar Baby", but this is best one in Eastwood's films! In this "MDB", he is not detective, FBI, gunman. He didn't hit somebody or shoot somebody in this movie. Nevertheless, this is absolutely Clint Eastwood's movie, and I like it very much! Smart dialogues, excellent camera angle, Jazzy music...everything's perfect.

At first, I thought this is like "Rocky". But I was wrong. "Rocky" was good movie. But now if you asked me "What is your favorite boxing movie?", I will say "Million Dollar Baby".

Surprisingly, I saw his tear in this movie. I've never seen his tear before(And, tears fell out of my eyes, too). I don't say anything about his tear in here. If you already saw this movie, you know that reason.

Oh, and I can't forget Hiraly Swank and Morgan Freeman. They definitely deserve Academy Awards.

Mo cuishle! Smile

Kenji,
Great review and I agree completely. "Million Dollar Baby" is an extraordinary film.

Reading is freedom.
The mind soars, no earthly cares,
no limitations.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

I still have to rank Unforgiven as #1 on my list, but MDB was great. Glad you liked it. And, yes, I was crying during the movie, too.
