Why haven't they regenerated lost limbs, damaged tissue ,etc. If they can't do it directly, they could create a life in utero with tissue identical to their own for transplantation?

I would think the emperor could have given old Anikin a hand there, if indeed he created the original as some would have us believe?

I recently re-watched "The Phantom Menace" and there is a direct reference to the midichlorians "conceiving" Anakin.

I was looking in my "The Making of Star Wars Revenge of the Sith" book and came across a summary of the rough draft script. Quite informative. I've attached a hand-transcribed (if you find typing errors, it's most likely my fault) Word document of that section of the book.

It's amazing how close the final film is to this rough draft. Some parts were changed, of course, but overall I think, quite close. I'm glad that the fuel tank with the "nitro fobos" was left out. Seems kinda hokey. Also of note is the appearance of a ten-year-old Han Solo on Kashyyk. That section of the book even includes an artist's concept of what Han Solo might look like at that point in his life ("the younger scoundrel may have been a slob"). Although it might have been interesting to see him in Episode III, I'm kinda glad we don't meet him until Episode IV. Chancellor Palpatine admits to Anakin he is his "father", something possibly alluded to during the opera scene in the movie, but never explicitly stated. And we didn't get to see Yoda arrive on Dagobah in the film. That might've been a nice touch to add with Leia arriving on Alderaan and Obi-Wan and Luke on Tatooine.

FYI: The rough draft was fifty-five pages long and titled "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith".

A bit of dialogue trivia:

C-3PO has the last line in Episode III: "Oh, dear"

and the first line in Episode IV: "Did you hear that?"

At last, today I saw "Star Wars III/Revenge of the Sith". Yeah, I know it's too late. But released day in Japan was 7/9.

This is GREAT! I LOVED IT! I really enjoyed it! Big Grin Now I understood Darth Vader's line in A New Hope, "I've been waiting for you, Obi-Wan. We met again." Yeah, when I saw episode IV in theater, I was 8. That's exactly it was 28 years ago. When I first saw ANH in theater, I still remember I felt shocking and exciting. Next "The Empire Strikes Back" was my favorite episode. I loved all battle scenes. Vader vs. Luke scared me (Don't laugh. I was 11!), also Vader's line, "No, I am your father". That was shocking. "Return of the Jedi" was great, except Ework. They annoyed me. But last battle of Vader vs. Luke was great. Last was very touching.

Then, 28 years later.......just today, my most favorite series completely finished. Yes, I saw Clone War, I saw end of Jedi knights, I saw Supreme Chancellor Palpatine changed to Darth Sidious, I saw Darth Sidious vs. Yoda, I saw Obi-Wan vs Anakin, I saw Darth Vader's born, and I saw Luke and Leia......I'm satisfied. Very good ending. Owen Lars is standing on hill, and seeing sundown. That reminded me of Luke Skywalker in A New Hope.

I confess, I was a little bit disappointed in Episode I. Not about story. I was disappointed in one concept. It's about Midy Crorian(sp?). A blood test? Rolleyes

Episode II was better than 1. Especially, battle in Arena was exciting. Yoda vs. Dooku was comical, but I liked it. :p

.........That's all. Can I say anything more? I can say one thing, "I LOVED IT!".

*shakes head* I've determined that while I will by all 6 on dvd when Lucas puts them into a single collection, I will never again watch episodes 1 thru 3. New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi are the only ones I'll touch.
