I don't know much about anal engineering, but I know "spelt" is not a word.

The Gauntlet titles are particularly full of typos...not sure if this is Barry Hoffman's lack of proofing the titles he puts out or what, but I have not noticed the same mistakes in the paperbacks I've read.

Actually, "spelt" is acceptable as an alternate spelling of the past tense and part participle of spell.

Spelt is also a hardy wheat grown mostly in Europe.

1. He could be from the UK or Australia, where the word is in much more common use.

2. You spelled "its" wrong.
