I ordered an inscribed copy for my niece last christmas and she LOVED it! When people asked her what she got for Christmas it was always the first thing she mentioned. She was 9 so she didn't need to be read to, but she loved doing the different voices for the characters. I ordered myself one, of course and it is a beautiful book. I think any child would enjoy the story. It was well worth the money, IMO.
