Maggers Wrote:I really liked "Manhunter," directed by Michael Mann, by the way. I like it way better than the remake, "Red Dragon." I thought it was much more chilling and frightening. However, I think Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal is phenomenal. Brian Cox has always creeped me out, no matter what role he plays. But of the two Hannibals, I prefer Hopkins.

Hmmm......I prefer remake version. Of course, William Petersen was cool. he is good lookin' FBI agent. But one problem was Brian Cox. His looks were desperado type guy. I couldn't see his intelligence. Hopkins is awesome. His eyes, his speaking voices, his intelligence.....those are all Hannibal.

Yeah, and he got paid $7,000,000 for it, too. I bet he laughed all the way to the bank.

Gene LeBell (a very tough and experienced judoka and former professional wrestler) and Seagal had a famous argument on a film set after Seagal injured a stunt man on LeBell's crew. Things escalated, and LeBell choked Seagal unconscious. LeBell downplays the incident, but he occupies a prominent place in the hearts of Seagal-haters worldwide.

LeBell is a funny guy. He's been in literally hundreds of movies.

That is an interesting story. I've never heard that one.

It reminds me of a story with JCVD and Mickey Rourke. Apparently JCVD was talking shit and got in a fight with someone. The guy started beating the crap out of JCVD until Rourke came along and wiped the floor with him.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. ... The piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

Well, I just recently joined the Board (though I've visited a few times in the past), so I've been thumbing through some old threads. I am amazed that nobody ever mentioned the hands-down best movie made in the 1980s, "The Princess Bride". Yes, the book was better (that's generally a given) but at least the novelist wrote the screenplay and unlike most of Crichton's novels it wasn't intended as a screenplay to start with.

"... to the pain."

"I'm not left-handed either."

"My name is Batman^wInigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die!"

"Have fun storming the castle!"
