True! The film is not without merit.
I have to say, though, that Rutger Hauer was poorly used in that film. I think he's great normally, but he just didn't seem to fit....

You mentioned about movie version.....Is it Buffy = Hilary Swank? I don't much remember it, but I'm sure I saw it.

This has me thinking, what casting for Jack and Gia will make the Repairman Jack movie an instant hit?
Jack: David Boreanaz
Gia: Sarah Michelle Gellar
Abe: Anthony Head
Kusum: Nicholas Brendon
Bati: Charisma Carpenter
Vicki: Michelle Trachtenberg
And all but one or two of these actors will come (relatively) cheap.
