Hi all.. I'm new to this board, and fairly new to FPW, but not RJ. I've read The Tomb/Legacies/Conspiracies/All The Rage/Hosts/Haunted Air, and I cant wait for more!

Well.. my question is about when Jack meets up with "Ed" from St. Joseph's, Ed tells Jack that someone confessed to him of hiring Jack. I have a feeling I'm just a bit slow and didnt catch on who confessed. Can someone fill me in?

PS: Can anyone recommend another FPW book to read next? I'm really afraid to venture in anything but RJ, because when it comes to science fiction, or really "out there stories", its hard for me to dig them unless they have a concrete "normal guy" like Jack. Another problem; I REALLY like Jack's character... so I'm scared that if I read anything else by FPW thats not Jack, I'll be dissapointed. Thanks in advance for any help!

Welcome to the board Marty. The answer to your question is; 7.62 jiga-watts.

Seriously, the answer to your question can be found at the very end of the book. A regular at Julio's recognized "Ed" and Jack went to investigate. That's where you will find what you are looking for.

The next book in the RJ series is Gateways. Followed by the soon to be released, Crisscross. FPW is currently working on a ninth RJ book. I forgot what the name of the book is, but FPW mentions the working title in the topic "Question for Gunnies."

For science fiction, may I recommend anything by Robert A. Heinlein. And don't forget FPW's science fiction novels; HEALER, WHEELS WITHIN WHEELS, AN ENEMY OF THE STATE, THE TERY, and DYDEETOWN WORLD.

Happy reading,

Ken V.

Read page 422 again and then read page 510! As for other books to read,
try Deep as the Marrow or Nightkill, Definatly Nightkill, Jake Naught and
RJ have a lot in common and there's even a few old posts as to who would win in a fight!

For non-RJ FPW books, you can't go wrong with Black Wind or The Keep. Two of his very best.

1.21 gigwats, by the way Big Grin

Thanks for the help guys, but I'm still lost. I KNOW some one confessed to "ed" about hiring Jack, but I want to know WHO that person is. Is it a secret, or am I just slow?

Thanks for the correction . . . I'm going to watch the movie again anyway. Big Grin

I think I understand your question now. You want to know who told Ed about Repairman Jack. Right?

The answer is: I dunno. I'm going to have to look it up myself. It's at the very end of the book though, where RJ finds Ed again, and asks those questions himself.

You caught me with my brain on hold yesterday. Father Ed told Jack that he learned of Jack's existence in the confessional. A priest NEVER divulges the who or what of the confessional.
