I rented it in the mood for some mindless action plus I wanted to check him out in a more serious role and he didn't disappoint; he was by far the best thing about the movie which could've and should've been so much better.

After watching just about two full seasons of Supernatural, I don't have any doubt Jensen Ackles could pull off the role. Ryan Reynolds could definitely do it as well.

I'd be concerned about Nathan Fillion trying to pull it off as he does seem to have an accent.

Don't know if anyone suggested Julie Benz as Gia (I've been lurking a long while but I'm sure I haven't caught every post :p), but I think she'd do a good job.

How about Eric Close from Without a Trace? Average-looking, brown hair, medium build...and he's a darn fine actor to boot. He's had his dealing with the supernatural (Sci-Fi's "Taken" and his older show "Now and Again". I think he'd honor Jack's character pretty well.

Yeah he was, huh? I never watched that show, although I heard it was ok. I was thinking, he's kind of a pretty-boy to play Jack,l but I still think he'd do ok.
