An automatic lock pick to help him out when his arthritis flares up.

Of course it would have to motorized and steerable so he could get to the bathroom in time when his prostate acts up . . . and to get away from the bad guys when he needs to.

On the positive side, Jack would get a senior citizen's discount on his MetroCard. He'd travel on subways and buses for less, though he'd probably wouldn't be running up and down those stairwells so spryly, if at all.

And he'll have to dress like he did in "All The Rage" (when he escaped from the hospital) so he can blend in with the seniors. (That may be the hardest pill to swallow for Jack):eek:

For Jack, I'm very tempted to say Matt Damon but I think he's been in too much.

Mark Wahlberg fits some of the descriptrion but I don't think he could pull it off. Not enough depth.

Maybe William Aston Scott, or whatever his name was. The guy who played Stiffler in the American Pies. He's built athletically, average looking with somewhat non-descript features, funny, etc. I'm not sure if he can act enough to pull off all that is Jack though.

Whoever it is they need the sinewy, ripped up forearms. You can add upperbody mass with training but the foreamrs are hard to pull off. They also need to look like they won't die if they took a shot in the face. That scratches alot of Hollywood's elite right out of the picture...

He's pretty much how I picture Jack when I read the books. I thought he was very good in the excellent remake of Dawn Of The Dead back in 2004. In that film, when you first see him he is very normal looking, almost weedy, but during the action scenes he proves himself to be very rough and tough which is excactly how Jack should be.

Not sure if they are still in the running, but he has seconded a the suggestions of Hugh Jackman and John Cusack. When man was first to starting to walk upright and the film rights were initially purchased, Bruce Willis was a top candidate. This is also when Michael Biehn was fairly hot property and for my money, he would have been perfect.

I agree Michel Biehn would have been good back in the 80s. Its a pity he went and got too old, the inconsiderate sod

I think Hugh Jackman is a bit too handsome. He's a good action star as Wolverine, and he can also play quieter, slightle more fey roles (like in The Prestige) but I can't imagine how gorgeous the crowd would have to be to allow him to fade away in it.

John Cusack was pretty good as the unassuming hitman in Grosse Point Blank, but I can't imagine him being interested in an action role.

I love Jack Weber. He's British, right? He's great on "Medium." Who knows how old he'll be when the RJ movie is actually made. He'll be a grandfather by then, no doubt.
