Hmmm... I don't remember him doing any repairman jobs in NightWorld (except saving the world). Paul already said he will be rewriting it. So, Abe, Gia, Vickers, and the new baby (only a couple of months old) will have to pack-up and cruise to Abe's hidden bomb shelter thingy in PA just like originally (only with a baby now).

I am more interested in the MUCH BIGGER rewrite part that entails Jack completely understanding the Otherness and Glaeken. Now Glaeken really has a reason to seek-out Jack and make him part of his group. And, when Jack grabs the sword this time, will it be he who is choosen? Very interesting stuff indeed!

(:

Oracle posted that in January of 2005. HARBINGERS wasn't published until 2006, so all that was unknown as yet.

Does Jack have a last name? In Hunted Air, they said Kate's last name is Irving, but is it her last name or the last name of her ex-husband?

Thoughts, comments, concerns?

I am pretty sure it is her Ex's name, or FPW wouldn't have told us. But Jack DOES have a last name, the same as his father and brother, and it was not mentioned. But he USED it in INFERNAL
to claim his Dad's body
, so we know he remembers.

Dates? who looks at dates?

My women's intuition tells me that Jacks last name has 5 letters and is 1 or 2 syllables.
My guesses are Walsh or Logan

Do you think FPW will tell us if anyone guesses right?

Maybe its "Just Jack!" ( Sorry, Tina is constantly making that Will and Grace reference, and would kill me if I didn't use the opprotunity to say it. God I hate that show.)

I kinda hope we never find out. But if we do I betcha it's gonna be something classic, much like his first name. Something all american. Ya know?

I think Jack would have a hard time forgetting his own surname, but is it usual for the time when he was growing up not to know or have a SSN? Edit: never mind, I just wiki-ed SSNs and found my answer.

(Would most women who divorce still bother to keep their ex's last name? I wondered about that when Kate was introduced complete with surname...)

Paul has said that he hasn't given Jack a last name.

So, even he doesn't know. Wink

A lot of people who are marrried when they enter professional life keep their surname when they divorce.

Years ago, I knew someone who took back her maiden name after she was divorced. She told me that it was a real headache doing so. She had to change the title on the house, her car, credit cards, bank accounts, employee records, all manner of things. But she (justifiably) despised her husband so much that she went through with it.
