Now that I have my grubby mits on 'A Little Beige Book', I thought somebody might want my old copy of Heroic Fantasy, the book of stories that originally included Demonsong.
I'm not really a sword and sorcery kind of guy (I only bought the book for Demonsong) so I thought the book might like to go to a good home.
Let me know - first come, first served.
(And if a fight ensues, then I can drink as much Guinness as you can buy! Big Grin )

Hi Paul,
I, too, not only purchased HEROIC FANTASY solely for "Demonsong," but me thinks our books arrived at just about the same time, not long ago.

Not only do I have HEROIC FANTASY, but I now have two, yes two, copies of LITTLE BEIGE BOOK. I got carried away (actually, I got forgetful) and ordered from both Borderlands and Shocklines. Both are signed, but I really like the one inscribed "For "Maggers, Viva la board!"

(*big, big grin for my first personally inscribed book!*)

Shocklines sent mine (and probably everyone else's) in pink bubble wrap, which I've never seen before and which I find quite fetching.

So I have "Demonsong" three times over. Big Grin

I recommend pleasant.

I've been dying to read Demonsong. Doesn't that have when Glaeken and Rasalom first meet? I have are all the Repairman Jack Series, The Advisary Series, The Touch, Select, and The Barrons & Others. Hadn't been able to find Demonsong.

Paul,

Even though I have the Gauntlet Chapbook of Demonsong and ordered Beige (but haven't received it yet--hmmm), as a completist I would be happy to take you up on your offer if it's still open. And if you make it to GU-4, I'll buy you a pint or two of Guinness anyway.

Well, i can see it is probably too late, but if, by some off chance, someone that laid claim to it dies in a flaming and tragic car wreck (or simply changes their mind), I would certainly love it. I haven't been able to find any copies of Demonsong here and haven't even read it yet. Poor me. Sad

Medusa or RJ/Dr. Em:

I'd be happy to send either one of you my copy of HEROIC FANTASY, especially since I only wanted it for "Demonsong." Let me know where to send it. You can email me or send me a private message.

Maggers

P.S. Does Shocklines or Borderlands have no more copies of LITTLE BEIGE BOOK? BEIGE has several wonderful FPW stories, while HEROIC FANTASY has only one.

Way to cause a dilemma guys.
First up with a response was Maggers... But Maggers was clearly just showing off because she has more copies of Demonsong than anyone else! Big Grin
(And is perhaps more forgetful than anyone else too. I mean, to actually forget that 'Beige' had already been ordered? It's nice to know that someone is more forgetful than me!)
And then came Medusa, followed literally seconds later by Biggles. And then loads later by dr_em2001. (Sorry dr_em2001, but you snooze, you lose. I think you already knew that though. Smile
So, who is the winner? (A whole forum inches to the edge of its seat...) Well, through sheer persistence and bloody-minded determination, Biggles wins the book. Although your response was two minutes faster, Medusa, Biggles managed to send me a private message, and email me personally all pretty much at the same time as posting a reply here. (Jeez, Biggles, you really want this book. In fact, the new collective term for a collector should be 'a biggles'. A biggles of collectors. Even has a nice ring to it! Big Grin )
Sorry Medusa. Perhaps you will win the dual to get Maggers' copy though. (Sorry Maggers, it's your turn for the dilemma.)
Biggles, send me an email with your address and I'll post the book straight out.
