In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure dome decree
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to Man
Down to a sunless sea...

Hehe...yes, got the rest memorized, too. One of my favorite poems, right up there with `Jabberwocky' and `Fire & Ice'...

Ahh, yes, the classic and original version.

I know a friend who likes the version below. In fact, these are the lines that pop into my head whenever I think of Xanadu.

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
an unsuspecting rube name John.

Sorry, just couldn't resist. Big Grin

Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope Santa is good to you.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

There's an unclassic version???

Only other version I know of is from Rush, off `A Farewell To Kings'...

On a complteely unrelated note...Merry Christmas to all! (or the winter solstice festival term of your personal choice)

Yes, Rush's version is cool!... But, I normally am quoting Frankie Goes to Hollywood when I say, "Pleasure dome erect!"
