What can I say, I finally got around to watching this movie last night. Really wanted to catch it at theatres. Well, I must say this movie was captivating. I'm a moderate Tom Hanks fan, and I must say he did a great job in this film. This movie is pretty much a Drama in my opinion, but has a mixture of Romace/Comedy. If you are in the mood for a movie with depth then pick this one. Definitly was well worth the rent, even went so far as to buy a copy for a friend for Christmas. WOW!! 2 thumbs up for me!!

Here in Japan, finally we can see it in theater from Dec 18. Smile I'll go to see it Dec 19.

Before the general release, this movie was released at Tokyo International Film Festival. For the festival, Tom Hanks came to Tokyo. Next link is his interview in Tokyo.

Hmm... Well, hate to be a nay sayer, but I disagree. I did not like "The Terminal." I nearly fell asleep. Although Hanks is excellent, as always. The story was silly and it just didn't hang together for me.

It won't be a waste of your time to watch it, but don't run out to get it. That's this girl's humble opinion.

Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

I liked it... Except for the Catherine Z. Jones part... This film is based (loosely) on a true story... And, CZJ's character is not really a part of the true story. They added her to have a pretty lady in there. I didn't like her foul-mouthed antics. She was a bit of a let-down for me.

All-in-all, I give this movie 3-1/2 stars out of 5. I know this view has been beat into the ground, but... I wish Hollywood would stop hollywoodizing true stories! (i.e. Catch Me If You Can, Walking Tall, etc.) I think this story is more intersting when it is more documentary like.

Also, I think Tom Hanks gave a fantastic job (as usual) playing this character! He is a GREAT actor IMHO. He is awesome, even in bad films like: Lady Killers (again my humble opinion), which I would only give 2 of 5 stars!

BTW - did you guys know that the real guy (Nasseri) is still living in the airport 16+ years later?? Check out the story here:

I feel the same way about Tom Hanks! He's moderate. Some things he was really good in - The Green Mile. But I don't think he is right to do The DaVinci Code.

I really thought it was good, Tom Hanks is my favorite actor and always has been since I first saw Apollo 13 and Forrest Gump, and I thought the movie was really good. One thing I noticed though is that I really didn't care much whether he ended up with the girl or not...which may have been deliberate.

Today, I went to see Terminal.

I thought it was excellent! Good movie. Tom Hanks did it again! Yeah, he is awesome actor. Forrest Gump, Philadelphia, Apollo13, The Green Mile, Road to perdition, The ladykillers, and Terminal.

It was mixture genres. Comedy, Romance, Drama...and, yes, this is Spielberg's film! You know, this situation is similar to E.T.. Viktor is E.T., Amelia is Gertie, Dixon is Keys, Enrique and Gupta is Elliot and Michael, Terminal is Earth. Viktor(E.T.) learned English from books...See, it's similar to E.T., don't you think? Wink

That's definitely Spielberg's film!
