Unfortunately, no. It looks like 8th or 9th generation copies. Also, I should mention that the writing was done in pencil and that the entire "novel" was dunked in a river at least twice before reaching the hands of the man I bought it off of.

Well, Mike, since "Only the good die young", and since, among other transgressions, I'm a LAWYER, I figure I don't need a time machine. I'll just stick (or schtick) around until 2268 or later. After all, I've waited 25 years for my Stillers to win "One for the thumb" as they were supposed to do after the 1980 season (I still remember the billboards: "One for the thumb in '81"). Now, granted, I'm not as patient as Cubs fans or Red Sox fans, but.....

But that's OK--I'll be playing chess with one of your tribe later tonight, and after a tumbler or two of Jim Beam, Lloyd will tell me everything I want to know. (Though my soul would probably be better off =not= knowing... )

Very cool, Biggles. My copies of FPW's books range from yellowed and raggedy paperbacks to not-excessively-pawed-over ex-library copies to brand new but not first editions (I don't think) purchased at amazon.com.

But I love 'em anyway!
