Dear FPW

Did you choose the name deliberately for Aryans and Absinthe, at that time in the 1920s in Germany, and was Ernst meant to be related to Anton Drexler, one of the founders of the Nazi party? It just seems such a coincidence.

No conscious connection. I came across Anton Drexler in researching the story but he never made much of an impression on me. I simply liked the hard sound of "Drexler" -- so very German. I didn't think anyone would make a connection. You've just proven me wrong.
