6/1-3 - at a microcon where they’re serving thousands of $$ worth of craft beers. Ever have coffee-flavored stout with breakfast? Neither had I.

6/5 - you DO know that we're on a collision course with Andromeda, right? Here's a mind-boggling rendition of what the sky will look like when that happens. http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap120604.html

6/6 - live, acoustic Beach Boys. They look like train wrecks, but that harmony is still there. http://tinyurl.com/bs8xlnj

6/6 - RIP Ray Bradbury - what he meant to me here: http://tinyurl.com/85foyyo

6/7 - at BEA (Book Expo America) in NYC today. Publishing's musical chairs continues - I keep running into familiar faces in unfamiliar places

6/7 - excellent dinner and good company at the Lamb's Club after BEA with good company.

6/10 - saw the B'way revival of "Harvey" - thought Jim Parsons was pretty damn perfect as Elwood. Forgot what a feel-good story it is.

6/14 - this has sort of been my view all along... http://twitpic.com/9wav52

6/19 - Repairman Jack pulls a traumatized soldier back from the pits: http://tinyurl.com/7xko9wz

6/21 - this video has been around a long time but I still laugh every time I see it:

6/21 - flying up to NH for a guest speaker gig at Porcfest, the annual libertarian gathering. My first time there. Should be fun.

6/22 - Porcfest: agorists, anarchists, minarchists, voluntarists, Free Staters, open-carrying gays (straights too) - no gov't in sight.

6/23 - the Porcfest green room has Hendricks and Patron. I hate these decisions.

6/24 - crap. My flight out of NH is canceled. Must spend night in Holiday Inn. At least they have a cool diner http://www.thecman.com/restaurants/airport-diner/

6/24 - I’m interviewed in the Library Police 78 podcast. Check it out: http://www.clydeumney.net/librarypolice/index.htm#ep78

6/29 - okay, I've said I'm not doing short fiction anymore, but I was asked to contribute to an E.R. Burroughs tribute anthology. How could I refuse? I spent the first half of my teens devouring his stuff. Terrible prose, excruciating dialogue, wonderful imagination. I know the ultimate secret of Pellucidar. Must... reveal...

6/30 - my Pellucidar novelette is practically writing itself (now, if the damn thing would only TYPE itself...)

"It means 'Ask the next question.' Ask the next question, and the one that follows that, and the one that follows that. It's the symbol of everything humanity has ever created." Theodore Sturgeon.
