A friend wrote this series and its a very different take on zombie apocalype. Until midnight tonight it is free. The fourth book in this series is only online right now but I am a character in it. (I die a horrible and gruesome death - yay)

Too bad your friend gave in to Amazon. No ePub = no sale here.

I must have missed something on the Amazon page for the book as I thought it was part of the KDP program. My mistake. Sorry.

I bought it. It was only 3.99 and it had high ratings.

Also, Medusa, I'm from Katy, too. Graduated from Taylor in '98. I know that's off topic, but it's not often that you see people from your hometown on internet forums.

Edit: I'm currently reading the 3rd book. Next time you talk to Kirk, tell him he needs a better editor and proofreaders. This story is really good and the characters are really good, but he's slowly changed from 1st person to 3rd person and occasionally he forgets what narrative he's using. Also, he occasionally will use present tense instead of past tense. It's confusing to the reader. He should have stuck with 1st person because he's lost that this was supposed to be a journal written in a found laptop (which was also silly).

It took him time to find his voice, but now that he has it, he needs to be more consistent. I really like his story and his fresh take on zombies, but he just needs to be more consistent.
