Now that the final installment has been written, I thought it might be fun to rank them in order of enjoyment. I decided against including Nightworld in this as its truly not an RJ book and I have yet to read the revised edition. I would also like to say that while it may appear as though I don't like the lower ranked books, this is not the case; I've enjoyed everything I've have ever read from the pen of FPW, just some more than others(his worst book is better than most people's best book).

1. CONSPIRACIES
2. THE TOMB
3. ALL THE RAGE
4. GATEWAYS
5. THE HAUNTED AIR
6. BLOODLINE
7. HARBINGERS
8. THE DARK AT THE END
9. GROUND ZERO
10. LEGACIES
11. HOSTS
12. FATAL ERROR
13. BY THE SWORD
14 CRISSCROSS
15. INFERNAL

The top three are among my favorite books of all time and are separated by the tiniest of margins.

Out of the ones I have read:

1. The Tomb
2. Legacies
3. The Haunted Air
4. Hosts
5. Conspiricies
6. All The Rage
7. CrissCross
8. Gateways
9. Infernal

I personally did not care for the father/son story in Gateways. It didn't feel right and I found it very hard to believe that jack's father could do the things he did in the swamp after not having picked up a rifle in decades. I also stopped reading at the beginning of Infernal because what Gia did (changing the reservation) behind Jack's back to me was not cool and really solidifed my dislike of her character, to the point that I was completely turned off and could not continue reading.

Maybe one day I will start back up, but its been over 2 years since I stopped at Infernal. I still love FPW's non-RJ books, with The Keep being one of my all time favorite books by any author.

I just attempted to put them in preference, and couldn't do it. Too many kept jostling for higher positions. But I think (on a different day I could very well change my mind) these are my top four.

1. THE TOMB
2. ALL THE RAGE
3. THE HAUNTED AIR
4. CRISSCROSS

I have to admit that I blazed right through mine without a lot of thought; mainly relying on impressions just reading the titles. Someday I'll reread the series, as it stands now I've only read The Tomb, Legacies, and Conspiracies twice and perhaps my rankings might change.

It wasn't my favorite part of the story either, although I didn't mind it, but I loved everything else about that book.

That would be my top 4 as well. And as Scott said, it isn't that I don't like the others, those just stand out for me. The list would probably be kind of dynamic and change with time but I can almost guarantee the top 2 would remain constant.

My top four are listed below. While all the others are great reads, I too had difficulty placing a favorite order to them. My preference may change once I read the newer revised Nightworld. Can't wait for that one.

The Haunted Air
The Tomb
Conspiracies
All the Rage

My list would probably start that way as well. As is apparently the case with many of you, I loves me some Rakoshi. I also loved the con game back story of The Haunted Air.

Legacies is my favorite because it had nothing to do with the Otherness. It was just a great straight up story and Jack dressed as Santa was pretty bad ass
