I am a big fan of Jeff Buckley and I just heard today they are making a biopic about his too short life.

This is surprising to me as he was popular but I never thought he attained the level of fame that would be expected for him to have a movie made about his life. Not that I am complaining, I will save that in case the movie sucks. Just surprised.

OK, I'll be the one to ask the maybe stoopid question - who is Jeff Buckley?

Oh dear Webby. Jeff Buckley was a musician, amazing musician put out a couple albums before he drowned tragically at the age of 30.

His official website.

To me, very underrated, but he isn't for everyone I guess. Check out some of his stuff on youtube as well. Anything off of the album Grace. His version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" is a personal favorite.

Thanks, I'll check out the YouTubes later at home. Is his version of "Hallelujah" the one they used in Shrek? Because I liked that.

Yeah he has an amazing voice. There are some other songs that highlight it better than Hallelujuah but that is a personal favorite.

And seeing him live blew me away. He actually was WAAAAAAYYY better live than recorded, which says a ton to me.

Some musicians are always better live. They can be themselves and riff away.

Dave Matthews an Coldplay are 2 that come to mind....way better live.

It is Leonard Cohen in Shrek and what a great song. I think Grace is a great album as well.
