One of my favorite lines from a movie review was in Ebert's review of Pearl Harbor:

"Pearl Harbor is a two-hour movie squeezed into three hours, about how on Dec. 7, 1941, the Japanese staged a surprise attack on an American love triangle."

I'm all caught up on the Jack novels, and had vowed to wait until the rereleases to read Reprisal and Nightworld. But I just finished reading the trade paperbacks of Reborn and The Touch, and can't stand the wait, so I caved in and ordered older copies of Reprisal and Nightworld off of Amazon. Now I'm pacing the floor awaiting their arrival. I feel so weak.

Well, I took everyone's advice and read Black Wind. All I can say is wow. And thanks. One of the best novels I've ever read. I'm still digesting it all.
