Yeah that one is very high on my list as well. Love movies like this looks to be.

Sounds interesting.

And as an aside, you might like to read (if you haven't read it already) LUCIFER'S HAMMER, by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle.
It's a post-apocalyptic story about a comet hitting the earth.

Looks pretty good.
Did you know there was a real battle over Los Angeles during the second World War? Do a search for it, it's a very interesting story. Here's a pic from that night.

I saw a long preview of this movie and they actually used some of that footage and the news reports from it in the preview. Really cool stuff.

So they did use that battle for the inspiration for the film, cool. I couldn't tell from the trailer in the OP.

I don't know if it was inspiration for the movie or not but the trailer I saw was something along the lines of "it has happened before many times, now it has gotten serious..." Using that and many other instances of reported sightings and what not.

Still really want to see this movie. It is either going to be really good based on the previews or a disappointing piece of over-hyped poo....I hope for the first option.Big Grin

Yes, indeed. It's a staple yarn in many UFO books.

Just saw this tonight! Awesome - I loved it! It seemed to have bad reviews but I don't care; I really enjoyed it.

A warning to those who have trouble with 1st person type movies (Cloverfield, Quarantine, etc). It wasn't done with someone following them with a camera but it was shaky and jerky the whole movie. It gave it that real and gritty feeling. I just took my Dramamine before the movie and I was fine. If I hadn't I would've had to go out to the lobby again (had to do that for Quarantine).
