"Did you find her, Jack?"

"Mommy! Mommy!"

That sweet, dear little voice coming across the water...

"I will never forget this, Jack."

"You're not the only one who loves her."

Now, I might be wrong, but I do believe that a woman's baby (and we're all babies in our mothers' eyes) in peril, and rescued by a guy...

That woman will love that guy forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever...

Thank you both for that, I thought I just about remembered it, can't remember what follows it, but I am up to date.
At one time earlier this year I had about 4 RJ books on the shelf, and read them on the trot.
Bril stuff Mr Wilson :adore:

Dad and I ordered a load of different books from Amazon the other day, Dad said he was going to give me the books for Christmas, I said thats fine other than Jack, can I have Jack when they arrive Big Grin

Yes, I did read that, I agree it was fab. One of the recent RJ books had a connection to it.

I have 2 other books that Paul wrote, one is called Mirage, written by someone else as well, not read that yet. Any good?

Mirage is a medical thriller about twin sisters. One is in a coma, and the other will try and save her. I don't want to say much more, and wreck it for you.

OK, thanks, had it years but not read it...
Another one that I did like was the one where someone gets paralised, but is made better and gets his revenge or something, that was a fab book.

Is Paul still a practicing medical doctor now, or did he leave that for writing? Sorry to be nosey.

No he still "practices" medicine a couple of days a week. And the book your talking about is "Night Kill", one of my personal favorites.

An interesting aside, Maggers wrote a really long post about the book "Mirage". She made a dang good argument for the symbolism of healing hands in the book, and the way FPW "practices" medicine. Do a board search for Mirage, and see if you can track it down "after" you've read the book. Spoilers abound in it.

OK, I finished Dean Koontz and my FPW Jack book arrived from Amazon in the nick of time.
It is very good and gripping, got to the old lady with the dog helping Jack. Won't say any more in case people not read it yet, but a question, does the old lady with the dog wear a scarf in the RMJ books? I can't remember that much detail lol.
I do remember Old Man Foster being mentioned, so I know who he is.
It is really intriguing.

I wonder what Paul will write after Jack and RMJ.
Thanks for a terrific read, Paul, this is just what I need right now, you take care.
