I watched Gamer the other night and was disappointed that it was better than I anticipated because it made its cheesy ending that much harder to accept. For the first hour or so this is one balls out action flick with some of the most intense fighting scenes I've watched in awhile and the premise behind what is happening is as cool as it is farfetched. And then we get to the big showdown and we get a song and dance-WTF? This could've become a cult classic if it could've slapped on a different ending but I'd still recommend to action junkies just for that first hour.

It was inferior to The Running Man, but better than I expected.

I thought it was light years better than The Running Man, but I didn't like The Running Man. There is no comparison between the action scenes IMO.

Here is your "Sub Zero"! Now, "Plain Zero"!

Are you crazy? The Running Man was cool man! In 20 years, Gamer will be long since forgotten.

In the court of popular opinion, you're probably right. In my house however...

I wanted to like Gamer so much. I'm glad I missed it in the theater. I'm a big Gerard Butler fan and Terry Crewes too. I hated the ending and the extra gratuity. I have no problem with nudity in a movie, but it just came off as so completely unnecessary. I get it's supposed to be an extremely permissive society, but it just came off as annoying.

If they ever make a movie out of the video game, Killswitch, they'll know what NOT to do by watching this movie.

They passed an old woman who was just opening the door of a brown Cadillac. An old man was already sitting in the passenger seat. The car had a personalized plate with the letters “J-U-S-P-R-A-Y”.
“That stuff work?” Israel said to her.
“‘Scuse me?” the little old woman said, clutching her keys.
“The spray. Does it keep them away?”
“Keep who away?” She looked confused.
“I gotcha.” Israel gave her a conspiratorial wink.
