So I've decided that I'm going to reread the jack books until the new one comes out. I'm looking for company. Who's in?

lol I'm always rereading my FPW books (working on Hosts right now). My obsession besides rereads before a new one, is to keep at least one unread FPW book on the shelf . I'm backed up for now with By the Sword (had to reread Blackwind first maybe I'll do BtS for New Years Eve) and Ground Zero. But what am I going to when the revised Nightworld comes out?

My wife does that with books. Can you explain why you're intentionally behind a book?

They passed an old woman who was just opening the door of a brown Cadillac. An old man was already sitting in the passenger seat. The car had a personalized plate with the letters “J-U-S-P-R-A-Y”.
“That stuff work?” Israel said to her.
“‘Scuse me?” the little old woman said, clutching her keys.
“The spray. Does it keep them away?”
“Keep who away?” She looked confused.
“I gotcha.” Israel gave her a conspiratorial wink.

Gerald, I can't explain for someone else, but I do the same thing with FPW'S newer books. For me it's sort of like keeping that last cookie in the jar. I've always got a sweet on hand if I feel an overwhelming need.

I've read most of Paul's books at least twice and the earlier ones 3 or 4 times. Yummy! Smile

Reading is freedom.
The mind soars, no earthly cares,
no limitations.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

I do something sort of like this. However, I read the new books. I always have one or two books by a particular author that I haven't read in case there's a long period where the author doesn't write anything. Then I'll have something to read. I try to not make it part of a series though.

I've had FPW's Deep As the Marrow and An Enemy of the State waiting patiently for years. And I'm refusing to finish SIMS until I get the 5th limited edition.

About the rereading. I'm gonna pass until after Fatal Error comes out. After that I'm going to read The Secret History of the World in chronological order. With a pause in the '80's for Secret Vengeance to come out.

I really need to reread them all but I still have Black Wind and Ground Zero to read. I always just have way too many unread books, I buy a lot more then I read.

"Sanity? Worthless things like that, I never had them for as long as I can remember!"
