Brian Wrote:Alright, all this talk about The Dark Crystal made me stop at Blockbuster on the way home, guess what we're watching tonight?
GeraldRice Wrote:I got this from my library and I can't wait to watch it again. I remember seeing this in the theater, although I don't recall about 90% of it. My mother bought me a comic that was the whole story and I read it during lunch before we went to see it. Maybe I've seen it once or twice a long time ago since it was in the theater. I'd like my daughter to watch it with me, but I think it might creep her out. Sadly, I don't think she's going to like horror.
GeraldRice Wrote:She's almost 3. But I didn't get it for her anyway. I can admit the truth. I remember one of the bad guys looking exceptionally creepy. I think he had a beak or something.
Does it stand up upon modern viewing?
Kenji Wrote:3? Maybe your daughter would love Labyrinth(with Jennefer Connelly and David Bowie).
PicardRex Wrote:Legend, now there is a cool/weird movie, those goblins and Meg Mucklebones, oh those were some freaky monsters. On a related note, have you ever seen Return to Oz? I think you'd like it if you like the Dark Crystal and Labryinth. It may be a bit more kiddiefied but it still has an edge to it that makes it enjoyable to watch as an adult.
