Lots of great movies there and many I haven't seen; nice to know other fans agree and much to look forward to.

1. WALLACE AND GROMIT: CURSE OF THE WERE:RABBIT and really everything Nick Park does including CHICKEN RUN.

2. GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES-Its easily one of the saddest movies I've seen but I thought absolutely brilliant.

3. PRINCESS MONONOKE AND same as Park, Miyazaki can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned, but this is my favorite.

4. FINDING NEMO I think is one of the funniest movies ever.

5. THE INCREDIBLES has the some of the best action sequences and damned if that CGI isn't something to marvel over.

6. GHOST IN THE SHELL I found really haunting.

7. ALADDIN just may be Robin Williams best role.

8. IRON GIANT just a great movie-the best robot/human friendship movie that I can think of at the moment.

9. BOLT a really great mix of humor and action.

10. TARZAN is for my money, the best movie version of the books.

I have many honorable mentions that could easily make it on a different day.

As I stated earlier, I have a long list of films that might qualify for my top 10 on a different day so needless to say I think they are worth a look:

CURIOUS GEORGE
MADAGASCAR
HOODWINKED
THE BLACK CAULDRON
THE SWORD IN THE STONE
SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS(the first movie I ever saw in a theatre)
PAPRIKA
BALTO
BRAVE LITTLE TOASTER(I really disliked the sequels though)
BUG'S LIFE
CHICKEN LITTLE
AKIRA
THE TRIPLETS OF BELLEVILLE
TOKYO GODFATHERS
THE CAT RETURNS
SURF'S UP
HORTON HEARS A WHO
PERSEPOLIS
LOONEY TUNES: BACK IN ACTION
JIMMY NEUTRON: BOY GENIUS
TITAN A.E.
JUNGLE BOOK(King Louie is probably my favorite singing scene from any animated movie)
THE GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE
A SCANNER DARKLY
ENCHANTED(I figure there is just enough animation/CGI for it too qualify)
AN EXTREMELY GOOFY MOVIE
SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: THE MOVIE
THE SIMPSONS MOVIE
TEAM AMERICA
ICE AGE & ICE AGE 2
UP(Oh, I may as well say any movie from Pixar)
AVALON
HERCULES(mainly for James Woods' work as Hades)

I recommend any of Miyazaki's films.

And I think the opening credits of Mrs. Doubtfire are brilliant.

A quick question about the Final Fantasy films as I see VII mentioned several times on these lists, do you need to watch them all to appreciate/understand this one? Are there really 7 films in the series?

Nope. The movie is based off the characters from the video game Final Fantasy 7.

Thanks, I thought the original Final Fantasy was great looking but not such a good movie and haven't watched any of the others.

Heavy Metal
Yellow Submarine
Mary Poppins (since live action counts)
Spirited Away
Howl's Moving Castle
Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro
Disney's Alice in Wonderland (while listening to Pink Floyd's The Wall)
Wallace and Gromit - The wrong trousers
Futurama (all movies and episodes)
South Park - ditto
The Return of Jafar
Wizards

I saw Watership Down when I was a kid but I cant really remember the movie ... I did read the book so I cant really separate the two. I am sure the book was better.

You know, I didn't want to go beyond the allotted top 10 choices, but Battle Angel Alita is definitely another good one. So is Armitage, Bubblegum Crisis, Crying Freeman, and the remake of Appleseed.
