Yeah. What the Hell do I care if two people want to get married (boys or girls). As long as they are adults, they can make their own choices on who to promise half their posessions and the rest of their lives to.Big Grin

It's really a silly debate. How can one argue against who another should be "allowed" to marry? Momma always said, "Mind your own business!".

I hope I didn't help turn this into a gay marriage thread. Oh well!

AsMoral Wrote:Hey Board:

i am trying to get the horror film Paranormal Activity to play in Little Rock. It only lets me vote once per area so I need your help.

go to www.paranormalactivity-movie.com and click on the "Demand It" button then enter in the zip code of 72223 and demand the movie for Little Rock.

Thanks my friends!

Well, if you get to see it, let us know if it's just hype.

Thanks for everyone who voted to get Paranormal Activity to Little Rock. Alas, it was not meant to be. Turns out Lincoln, Nebraska (Who knew) was more popular and the film went there.

With that said though, the initiative has been changed. If 1 million people demand the film on the website regardless of locale, Paramount will release the film nationwide.

So I am imploring everyone on this site to go to www.paranormalactivity-movie.com and demand the film to help us hit the 1 million mark.

I know several people who have seen the film already and they are keeping mum with a smile which leads me to believe the film is awesome. I am sure they would have told me to not even bother if it was a dud.

So get out there and demand the film to help hit the 1 million demands mark.

Thanks again to everyone who already voted especially for Little Rock.

Saw it last week in a pre-screening, midnight show. Comparisons to The Blair Witch Project are inevitable and not unwarranted, but this is one scary movie. Several guys walked out because their girlfriends couldn't handle the suspense. Everyone, see it.

AC

P.S. However, if TBWP made you dizzy, maybe this film is not for you. Lots of unsteady hand-held camera work.

People keep saying it is one you have to see in a theater filled with other people.

Marc saw it and said it wasn't as suspenseful as he had hoped but blames the hype for that.

regardless, I want to see this and I hope Paramount does right and releases in nationwide. This limited screening crap is plucking my last nerve.

Good to hear it was genuinely scary. Horror has been lacking in the fear for too long now.

Jeez, the things we take for granted. I laugh a little every time I pass your signature. I'm terrible at remembering lines, but that scene never fails.

One million demands! Nationwide release on October 16th. Sorry Tony but I didn't demand for Little Rock at the time I voted. I was one of 26 people to demand it where I am. Which is funny because there isn't a movie theater in my zipcode.

DVD copies of PA have appeared on the streets this week. But I would never ever think of buying one. That would be bad.

AC

P.S. And the quality is probably bad too. Wait a minute. It was filmed badly deliberately already. Hmmmmmm....

I am contemplating the torrent route. I checked the website and only 26 states are getting it so far. Arkansas is not one of them. I read the fine print of Paramount's releasing with regard to paranormal Activity and it said that even though 1M votes gurarntees a nationwide release they will decide which states get the film and what theaters.

They said that they will release the film to theaters based on screen availability and only to theaters in zipcodes where a certain number of votes was received.

I looked at the website and I guess Little rock was not one of the cities that meets their requirements. I am assuming a lot of cities are out of the running too because they only list 26 of 50 states.

Still, as word spreads they will add more. I hope to get it before Halloween. I would even travel to see it within reason.

Frustrating though.

Be careful, Tony! The more you ponder "paranormal activity" (even watching a movie), the more whatever energies power it, will make you a focus of their interest.

I have see this. It ain't wise to mess.
