Has anyone seen or heard of Moon? It stars Sam Rockwell and the voice of Kevin Spacey. It's really good. I don't want to give too much away. But in the beginging of the movie you'll find it's about a guy who maintains a mining station on the far side of the moon. He's stationed there, alone, for three years. Two weeks before his time is up there's an accident...
...He then wakes up back on the station. He goes out again to check out the accident and finds himself in the wreckage.
It's a good science fiction movie but when I start talking to some friends about it I can visibly see them lose interest when I say it takes place on the moon.

Haven't seen it, Alvin, but I can say this:

On his lively TANGLED WEBSITE, Joe Haldeman liked it a lot.

On her fun NANCY'S BLOG, Nancy Kress hated it so much she's considering giving-up going to see sf films.

I saw a preview. It looks awesome, but the only way to know for sure is to see it.

James Newman's novel The Wicked, first mass market printing available now!

Well, no two ways about that. But I found it interesting two =great= sf writers had such different reactions to the flick.

That is odd. Then again, there's always someone ready to pan even the best movie, so I hope Nancy Kress was just having a bad day or something. I've really been looking forward to this one.
