Here are some scenes from the end of Hellboy 1 that in my opinion are reminiscent of Nightworld 'Otherness' creatures:

Starting at 4:00: 'The Elder Gods' (Leviathans); then toward the end of the Hellboy 1 movie clip: 'The Evil Priest' (Slug-like creatures with tentacles)

Hellboy is a great movie.
