Dealing with Borders will bring you no luck, Scott.

No luck at all.

Emeril owns a bookstore?

The "Other" Otherness - more of a curmudgeon than inimical when you get right down to it, and definitely less Adversarial.

B&N! Finest little Fortune 500 company on the planet! (And for the life of me, I don't know why there hasn't been a bio of Len Riggio. He is clearly an =extraordinary= businessman. On the side of good!)

I'm not prejudice. I'd love for any of the big bookstores to open in little ole Brooksville. If B&N is truely the best, bring it on! B-A-M is closest to us, but still too far. I do like their enormous discount section.

Too bad he can't seem to find competent employees.

A good many of us here have been sorely disappointed by the service at Barns and Noodle.

I just finished Aftershock & Others at work this morning, and quite well enjoyed it. The only short in it that I found to be slow was the Hitler one.

Also started Barrens & Others this morning and am half way through it, and am enjoying it as well.

Some of these shorts need to be made into 30 minute OVA anime. ( :nerd: )

Of the shorts I've read thus far, these are my favorites:

Please Don’t Hurt Me
Anna
Foet
Part of the Game
Feelings
Tenants

And of course both Repairman Jack shorts.

I purchased my copy at a local Borders Bookstore last week, and read it over the weekend. Excellent collection.

Was a nice thrill seeing mention of the first G.U. in Baltimore back in 2001 (in one of the book's many interesting interstitial biographical breaks).

A highly recommended read!

My favorite short story by a long shot even if I am a bit slow. It wasn't until the end that i realized who the girl was. I thought "It doesn't matter, hence her name was never given."

IDIOT!!!

I re-read it and enjoyed it even more knowing what I had just discovered.
