With all the raves I've been hearing about the new 3-D technology, I decided I needed to check it out for myself and damned if the raves aren't deserved-what an incredible picture-like you could walk right into the movie. I actually liked the action heading away from me more than the stuff coming at me. The movie itself isn't terribly original, any fan of Sci-fi will have seen this before, but it is a lot of fun. B.O.B. is hilarious and the action sequences are spectacular.

It had a Spongebob vibe, don't you think? Galaxhar is played by Squidward and B.O.B. by Patrick?

Just watched mva this morning - got it for ma daughter (honest)!!!!

The graphics are fantastic and the hype there was well deserved.

When it comes to the characters they were likable and funny (LOVED B O B). i think this film falls into my catagory of would have really enjoyed it if it hadnt been so well covered and hyped because of that i was expecting more from mva - but thats my fault not the films.

Well I hadn't thought about it until reading this, but I can see that although you're wrong on both counts with the voice talent; Seth Rogen voiced B.O.B. and Rainn Wilson did Galaxher(what great eyes), Patrick is done by Bill Faberkke? and Squidworth is Roger Bumpas? or something like that.

chickybubs - I missed your first few posts, so here's a "Welcome to the Board" from me! Love your Cookie Monster avatar. Smile

Question for those of you who have seen this move - do you have to wear the 3D glasses? Probably no getting around that but I really hate it because I spend the whole movie holding the 3D glasses up. Sad

You misunderstand. Galaxhar was played by Squidward himself and B.O.B. by Patrick himself - the real Patrick. (I mean, Squidward and Patrick are real, right?)

Duh! Now I feel stupid. Of course they're real and I'm glad they're finding work outside of Sponge's shadow.

Yes you do have to where the glasses but much like the 3-D technology, the glasses have come a long way and I didn't find them intrusive at all.

What if you wear glasses normally? That's the biggest problem I've had with 3D glasses in the past. Trying to put them over my regular glasses and keep both on my head took all the fun out of it.

Can't help you there; borrow some contacts maybe? Seriously the glasses are considerably bigger than the old ones but don't honestly know if they'd be big enough for you. Maybe you could request to try them on before purchasing your tickets to make sure it'd be worth your while. The picture is really worth it.
