Hello, All. I wanted to put this picture up here to see what you think. Is he young enough and plain enough for Jack? Let me know, Lexx

In my mental eye, Lexx, I see Jack as older--late 30s.

But a still doesn't tell a lot, does it? Film is a dynamic medium--show the audience YOU ARE JACK! (And oh, yeah--Jack would never stand still for a photo like that. Jack is stealth. That guy is, "Look at me! I'm posing with a gun!")

Sorry, that guy doesn't represent what I've pictured Jack looking like. Build and hair color are all wrong.

Well, I don't really remember, but I don't think that there is a definate physical description of JACK anywhere in the books! Just like his last name, or how much he charges for any job, it is a mystery! But I always thought of Jack being slim, and sinewy, very strong and well built, but not overly muscled. And I always thought of his hair color being either light or medium brown, not dark brown or black! Does anyone have any reference to a physical description in any of the books?

I really hate to say it, but....

There's a good description of him fairly on in THE TOMB.

I envision Jack as a medium build muscular male. 5'10", about 190lbs with medium brown hair. Clean shaved, his features average and hooded by a baseball cap. That's the image that I have gotten. But, when one reads, we form our own Jack in the mind. What I see, others may not.

I prefer this actor to Max Payne:

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout
