In November 2008, FPW said: "...the latest director they’re talking to (he's done some big pictures and has worked with Beacon before)."

I have looked at Beacon's filmography on IMDB and, in the Poll above, are all the male directors that have worked with Beacon and have also had more than one "big picture".

Enjoy.

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

Ooo-kay. Apparently everyone is indifferent about this subject...

Here's one last post, to get it back onto the New Posts list...if it dies again after that, then so be it.

I do not know a lot of these movies, but I have heard good things about many of them.

"Lord, what fools these mortals be"

"The opposite of war isn't peace; it's creation."

You'd think that Killing people would make them like you, but it doesn't! it just makes people dead.

It was EXTREMELY painful having to include Brett Ratner, but he fits the criteria.

Peronally, if he never directed another movie based on a book or a comicbook ever again, it would be too soon for me.

My choice for director is down to two finalists and I'm having trouble deciding which one I like best.

Bones Weep is presently on the way to your place with a baseball bat and a can of gasoline.

You have been warned.

No extra snow (we've had about 4 inches for a week or more) but no break in the cold either...it's been in the -30s and -40s (after the wind-chill) for almost 10 days.

I wish it would snow...the temperature would go up.

I'm waffling between Tony Scott and Peter Hyams.

Tony Scott's movies are tight, well paced and tend to do well at the box office but his one try at horror was NOT a success...Peter Hyams, on the other hand, has proven good at the creepy stuff over his career but has not proven capable of pulling off memorable movie after memorable movie...his most successful decade was in the 80s and has done little of note this decade.

So, if I want the thing to be scary but probably not spawn a sequel, I go with Hyams.

But, if I want it to aspire to be a "big" movie that is light on the horror, heavy on the action, but spawns at least a few sequels then I go with Scott.

Unfortunately I want both.
