"Flesh and Bone" is a fine film I first saw when it came out in 1993. I liked it then and I like now. I saw it again tonight, and I recommend it.
It stars Dennis Quaid, Meg Ryan, James Caan, and Gwyneth Paltrow. The opening sequence blew me away, again. 12 minutes without much dialogue, and it packs a punch.
The actors give solid performances, though James Caan annoys me more often than not. But that's just James Caan, not the movie or the director.
I don't want to say much about the film. It's not a horror film, which is what the title might make you think. It's about family ties, the kind that bind .... and gag.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
