I truly doubt there will be another. He closed the Rambo series with his last movie the same as he did with the Rocky series. At least I hope so. They're both at a point that they can end gracefully.

Once a movie presents something that I think is completely flawed and brainless, I pretty much dislike the entire movie. If some intelligent reason for engaging in the fight could have been presented, then I might not have disliked Balboa so much.
I did see Rambo #4 and was surprised that I liked it.
If I'm not mistaken the simulation was supposed to be prime for prime. Mason Dixon was supposed to be murdalizing every guy he fought in the division and they were reaching back to the most recent fighter who would have given him a good fight. I doubt the simulation was supposed to be versus a 60 year old Rocky.
The funny thing about the guy who played Mason Dixon is he is a real fighter and in his very next fight after this movie he got beaten up by a 41 year old.
They passed an old woman who was just opening the door of a brown Cadillac. An old man was already sitting in the passenger seat. The car had a personalized plate with the letters “J-U-S-P-R-A-Y”.
“That stuff work?” Israel said to her.
“‘Scuse me?” the little old woman said, clutching her keys.
“The spray. Does it keep them away?”
“Keep who away?” She looked confused.
“I gotcha.” Israel gave her a conspiratorial wink.

I was thinking about the closure of the series before I even got to the book signing. At least I thought it was the closure. David Morrell mentions it on his site here.
