I am a fan of all things British. I love BBC America, some of my favorite shows being Little Britain, Catherine Tate, Doctor Who, Wire in the Blood and an assortment of other comedies. When it comes to humor the Brits trump anything on our good shores.

This weekend I watched the horror comedy "Severance" about a group of corporate types that go on a team building retreat in the woods where they are systematically slaughtered one by one.

It is over the top violent and laugh out loud funny. The comedy surrenders to the survival/horror themes midway through the film and it becomes a traditional horror yarn...similar to how Shaun of the Dead toned down the yuks in the final reel of the film.

What a fun ride though...it is available through Netflix and can be viewed instantly through their Instant Queue.

Severance is well worth the watch!

I have it in my player right now. We'd already seen it, but my wife forgot and put it back in the Blockbuster queue. I'd forgotten a lot, like
the guy who was certain a human head could live up to 2 minutes after being decapitated and found out for a fact
. We'll finish it up tonight and then tomorrow we'll have "Deadspace" a cartoon based on the horror/sci-fi video game of the same name.

They passed an old woman who was just opening the door of a brown Cadillac. An old man was already sitting in the passenger seat. The car had a personalized plate with the letters “J-U-S-P-R-A-Y”.
“That stuff work?” Israel said to her.
“‘Scuse me?” the little old woman said, clutching her keys.
“The spray. Does it keep them away?”
“Keep who away?” She looked confused.
“I gotcha.” Israel gave her a conspiratorial wink.

I have been contemplating buying Dead Space, the game, but I do not do well with jump scares and the game is supposedly full of them.

The scene in Severance to which you refer was one of my favorite scenes. The look on his face was like..."Huh...I knew it."

I just got my 360 back yesterday (I had the red circle of death) and I intend on getting this game soon.

My overly tired brain got the idea that you were talking about a reality show. I had to re-read the initial post a couple of times to figure out that it's not a reality show. The talk about systematic slaughter should have been a clue.

Is this a sign that I'm demented or just really tired??

Why do I always do this to myself???

After a cup of coffee my brain feels less tired.

I was just kidding, we're all demented in our own way.
