I particularly like the P. Frank Winslow (right spelling?) character-the novel within a novel. Very creative thinking.

And the blast was high in the air -- a thousand feet or more, and I don't know how high the temperature of the blast was, but it didn't vaporize everything which surrounded it. Although there was great heat from the explosion, what a bomb mostly creates is (for lack of a better term) an extremely high wind. It "blows" things up -- and around.

Jack and his antics....The book had the feel of a stand alone novel to me.FPW did a super job in bringing out the intensity of a lot of scenes.I don't know if anybody else brought this up but read BLACKWIND first----mark
