Hey, Gang! Here's a little something that I've been playing with, hope that it doesn't offend anyone, but every since I saw this picture, I've been thinking what a great "Repairman Jack" he would make! Just a little fan pix play, don't start yelling copyright, okay? Big Grin

Sad

I accidentally dropped a load of worthless change in the street. I was going to just leave it there but a burly policeman lumbered towards me and said, "You'd better pick that up, son."

I hate coppers.

Hey guys, I am building an "Unofficial Myspace for RJ" and would like to ask if you minded if I use your work for fan art. I want this project to be a networking tool for the Fans of RJ and an expression of individuals ideas. I will of course give you full credit, with links to your pages. After seeing the poster with Clive Owen and remembering that movie I would totally agree that he would be an awesome RJ

So, Bones, you are the one that did that graphic novel! VERY sweet. There is a problem with the links, however. On pages 9 and up the links to the larger pages doesn't seem to be working. I had to take the smaller thumbnail and enlarge it to 300 pdi, but the picture is all pixelated and burry. Just wanted to let you know. Still, all in all, would LOVE to see more!

I have to agree with Bones on this one (some will be shocked, I know).

Clive Owen, at 44 years old, is WAY too old to play Jack...at any point in the books. Jack is "early to mid 30s" (FPW's words) in the Tomb/Rakoshi...the rest of the novels take place over the next year or 3.

I have nothing against Clive Owen...he's just too old.

Axioms Jack seems to live by (inadvertantly or not):

Why he does what he does: "I chose this life. I know what I'm doing. And on any given day, I could stop doing it. Today, however, isn't that day. And tomorrow won't be either." Bruce Wayne, Identity Crisis

On Rasalom: "Water's wet, the sky is blue...and good old Satan Claus, Jimmy...he's out there...and he's just gettin' stronger." Joe Hallenbeck, The Last Boyscout

"it's not the years, honey, it's the mileage"!
(Indiana Jones, Raiders of the lost ark)

Cool

BTW, what is the real scoop on Ryan Reynolds playing "Jack"? He's 33, young enough, and has a real "he-man" rep since appearing in "Blade trinity"! And also, does anyone know who is under consideration for "Gia"? Or Abe? And, if Ryan does get the job, they will have to do two films a year, for the next 6 or 7 years, because by that time, he will be too old to play the part, and they will run into that whole "James Bond" thing about an actor hitting 50! (Geeeeeezzzzz)

Ok then, Clive has too many miles.

Jack's not a stand-out, "he-man" type...he blends in...he's doesn't look like much...he's underestimated (kinda like Reynolds is)...he's the average pale male. You don't realize that he's dangerous until it's too late.

There are numerous threads (Who Is Your Cast, most recently) discussing who could play other characters, but Beacon is leaving casting until they settle on a director for the film.

If Peter Jackson can do Lord of the Rings over three years, they can certainly do 15 Jack movies (or more) over 7 years...some of those movies don't have any overwhelming special effects/monsters/etc. to hold up post-production.

The Who Is Your Cast thread also has proposed actors for any jack movies that still need to be made in 2015.

Enjoy your anticipation.
