Are there any Jack fan films out there? Would I be crazy in attempting to make a cheap one?

There might be copyright issues involved, Whatley. I'd check with Paul first. But I admire your enterprise!

The scene of Jack dressed as Santa has always stuck with me. Of course you'd have to be a fan to even know what was going on, but it would still be appreciated by those said fans.

That one is almost a stand-alone story, and would make a great cartoon Smile

Our own Dave and Marc B have made films of FPW's works, good ones, too. But you always should check with The Man first.

Years ago my mother used to say to me... "In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so smart or oh so pleasant."
Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.
You may quote me.

Yeah, legally its probably cool if its not for profit, but Paul is Paul ( which is to say one of the coolest writers I have ever come across. Hell, look at this forum). Ask him first.

I think the reason Ian, Dave and I all were able to make the short films we did was because they hadn't been licensed. Jack is a completely different problem what with Beacon owning the film rights. If you went ahead and made a short film, and assuming Paul didn't request you take it down, there is a good chance Beacon would. Better to stay away from Jack IMO.
