Scott Miller Wrote:The other day I was in Borders looking for Aftershock and Others(no luck) and perusing the horror titles when I heard a couple of ladies talking about Pendegrast and how disappointed that they had read the entire series. I sidled over and asked if they had ever read RJ, they hadn't and I managed to talk them into The Tomb and the bargain-priced thrillers Implant and Deep As The Marrow. I told them about the site and when they're hopelessly addicted they can find others with the same afflication here.

I did order Aftershock as well.

It's a well-documented fact only Red Commies and Manson followers go to Borders.

Get on the good foot, Scott, my brother. Barnes&Noble is the wise man's play.:dancing:

The day they did away with their horror section was the day I stopped going to B & N.

mossman Wrote:I was converted in city jail. I was withdrawing from heroin, just got transferred from county to city for warrants on tickets. The small library cart was basically empty except for a scant few paper back novels. I had been reading another book but then I found Black Wind one night and started reading it. I was 2/3 of the way through the book when I was released. When I got out I tried to find it at the local library. All they had were repairman jack novels. So I picked up Bloodline, read it, fell in love with it, then requested a copy of Black Wind from another library branch and read it all the way through.

I left a copy of "The Tomb" at tent city.Cool Maybe not FPW's target audience, then again......................Wink

But...but...my B&N didn't have Aftershock. I personally felt betrayed. Sad

That's actually a really cool thing to do, Ken. Good on you.

I found 2 copies of Bloodlines at our library on camp. I took 1 and left the other.

Just found out I recruited a friend on facebook! I had posted something a few weeks ago, and based on my recommendation she tried RJ and is now 4 books in. So happy I have someone else locally to discuss RJ with :-)
