When I visited my mom last summer I took my copy of The Tomb and All the Rage (at the time those were the only 2 I had) and left it with her to read. Then I sent her Legacies for Christmas.
The only book of FPW that she had ever read was The Keep, which is actually how I came to read it.

So when I talked to her at christmas I told her to read The Tomb first, then Legacies.

She called me today because she just read all three. She's addicted. She wanted to know what was next. And she doesnt care that she read them out of order.
And if she goes out and buys them all I wont have anything to get her for her birthday .....

But since she started me down the FPW path I guess its come full circle.

The world is full of idiots ... It's up to you to not be one of them.

My most recent recruit Wink is reading fast.....you would think he was on a mission...lol. He's on Infernal now. I've let him borrow Bloodline and BTS. We may even end up battling for Ground Zero when it ships....to me!

Just found out today my recruit count is +1 after I loaned LNC and The Tomb to a friend recovering from a motorcycle accident. He has already purchased several more RJ books :-)

Plus I need to buy another "lending copy" of The Tomb - I always seem to lose them along the way...

I have recruited two people, my Cousin with "Midnight Mass" and my Aunt with "the Keep"

I'm still working on my friends, trying to get them to put down the video games and pick up a book...

Laying in a hospital bed, fighting for a life you once knew, knowing that your chance for survival lies in the sterile tubes and liquids being forced into your veins. Each erratic heartbeat is counteracted by the doctors orders. Keep a hold on to your hope, even as your muscles fade. Keep your fight strong Dad, you will win"

I cheated...because I'm a cheapskate...I ordered three copies each of the bargain books to pass out to inquiring minds and eyes.

I recruited my wife and kid. I tell the guys at work and they love the stuff I tell them, but they dont read anything more exciting than a beer label. I've been emailing links for Demonsong and Therapy to everyone.

The other day I was in Borders looking for Aftershock and Others(no luck) and perusing the horror titles when I heard a couple of ladies talking about Pendegrast and how disappointed that they had read the entire series. I sidled over and asked if they had ever read RJ, they hadn't and I managed to talk them into The Tomb and the bargain-priced thrillers Implant and Deep As The Marrow. I told them about the site and when they're hopelessly addicted they can find others with the same afflication here.

I did order Aftershock as well.
