I went to see this at our new, completely digital neighborhood theatre last night and found it quite good. Abigail Breslin is certainly an accomplished little actress and Foster handles physical comedy pretty well. The island is gorgeous and the story is entertaining if not terribly original. But the best the thing about it is that it was all FREE! My wife entered a drawing during the grand opening and she won 48 movie passes and on Friday in the entertainment section of the paper there was a coupon for a free #1 Combo so I gathered all the papers at my school and collected all the coupons(22 to be exact).

I love free shit.

Well, for years I was smart.
I recommend pleasant.

Just in time for the summer blockbuster season. I'm not the pickiest person when it comes to sight and sound in theatres, but I couldn't help but be impressed by the new state-of-the-art technology. Looking forward to seeing Indiana Jones there for sure.

How much are tickets in your neck of the woods? They're $11.50 or $12 in Manhattan.

You know I didn't even look, but I think the last time I paid full price(at a different theatre) they were $9.75, with matinees of $7.75. The #1 combos, large popcorn and drink, were $10.75 so without the passes and coupons last night would have cost about $60.00.

Today I saw Nim's Island, and I enjoyed it. Funny Jodie Foster is since "Marverick"!

My favorite scene was "Flying lizards". :xd:
