I =thought= so. Maybe I mis-read 163 as 68. They look very similar. I don't really know what I am talking about.

Nope, you were right...there is a member with only 125 posts who joined back in 2005 that has a custom member-moniker.
I'm past that already, but still no option to change my Senior Member status to something else.

Maybe you can only change you caption when you figure out how, and it takes most people over 150 posts to figure out.

Could be.
I found the 68 post member with the custom caption. They joined in mid 2007, so it doesn't seem to be a date-related thing.
Could be an old board member returning under a new name after their account became corrupt...they were allowed to keep the custom caption they had before the error occurred.
Who knows...still looking for more.

What it amounts to is (I'm not sure exactly, it's been quite a while) 30 posts to take you from "Junior Member" to "Member," and when you reach 100 posts you become a Senior Member.
What you call "the Armageddon level" was actually a bit of tongue-in-cheek mischief which was started by Lisa; one of the moderators of the board. She did it to a few of the long-time members, and it came as a complete surprise to everyone.
Lisa has such a wicked sense of humor, and those alterations she made were so funny, that other long-time members said, HEY! What about me?!
That's when Susan (another Moderator) jumped in and added more.
Many of them are either plays on words or inside jokes. Take BK Akitas for example. Danni, among other things, is a champion dog breeder and trainer -- Black Knight American Akitas -- and has been a member for more than five years, having been a member of the Old Board. So, one of The Queens (Lisa or Susan) changed her Senior Membership to read; "Marking my territory one post at a time."
Maggers is a great fan of the program "LOST," and she lives in New York City, so "LOST in New York" is another appealing bit of humor.
And there you have it.

Thanx, Dave. I already knew about the Queens (having gathered it through the posts, a couple of mentions on the Website by FPW since last summer, and an e-mail or two prior to joining the board). They certainly deserve their title. They've done a great job with the site.
I appreciate the courtesy, as I'm sure the other newbies do. When I come up with something witty enough (other than Senior Member), I'll PM one of them, as you suggest. In the meantime I'll respect their busy schedule and be happy with what I have.
BTW, Dave. For the newbies who didn't already know, I recall reading that you are one of the founding members of the GU...which means you have likely been here (on the board) since the beginning or thereabouts. I have always found your posts to be helpful and benevolent.
